We are proud to present the Nancy Dunitz collection of fashion forward seed bead glass and Joanie m fused glass jewelry. Designed in Hollywood, California and lovingly handcrafted in the Highlands of Guatemala. Their artisans are treated with respect and work in a clean and safe environment. As a proud Fair Trade Federation member, the Dunitz and Joanie m collections also contribute to local charities that fund social services within the community. supporting Ugandan craftspeople-All accessories are handmade in Uganda with exceptional quality and sophisticated design.Our beads are made from recycled paper! Repurposed strips are rolled tightly and coated in a water-based varnish. The varnish hardens the beads as well as provides a protective coating. The beads are then strung into a design, or sewn onto one of our embroidered pieces. 99% of our materials are sourced in Eastern Africa, supporting local markets.
All of our products are carefully crafted by hand. From the first cut of paper to stringing on the final bead, every detail was thought through. You might find tiny differences from bead to bead, but we call those the “perfect imperfections” of having a handmade product. Each piece is unique and tells a story because it was made by a real person. A community has been built around the making of these accessories.
